With echoes of caryatids, the draped female figures used as columns in ancient Greek architecture, Herend's sculptor has created a compote supported by three elegant seahorses with draping as well - albeit with a pattern alluding to the intricate armored plates that cover their bodies. While the name carries overtones a tropical green, it was actually inspired by the core décor of the capital city of our founder's favorite island retreat. The style is international in color and craft---and the grasscloth's pairing with hand-finished tortoise inspires us to bring the whole suite of trays, coasters and frames into our own homes!
