Ever wonder how a mint julep cup is made? It begins as a completely flat disc of pewter. Our highly skilled artisans place it on a lathe and slowly pull the metal over a form until the desired shape is achieved. This process is called metal spinning and it is only one part to making a mint julep cup! Design elements will be added, a base will be soldered on, and the whole cup will be hand polished to a mirror finish.
