The rippled Damascus finish on each blade is achieved by forging 34 layers of stainless steel on each side. Corrosion-resistant blades are ground to an exceptional 16-degree angle, then polished by hand. Impregnated with resin for durability, the beautiful blonde birch wood handles won't harbor bacteria and are comfortable for left- or right-hand use. A matching honing steel with two sharpening surfaces keeps the knives in their best condition. A fantastic wedding, housewarming or graduation gift, this set includes a 9" bread knife, 8" chef's knife, 6.5" nakiri knife, 3.5" paring knife, 6" utility knife and honing steel. The slim birch block offers two extra slots for future additions to a cutlery collection.
