The Herança porcelain collection reflects Vista Alegre’s first decorative works, especially those produced after the hiring of Master Victor Rousseau in 1835. In addition to his decisive role in creating the brand’s painting school, the French master opened Vista Alegre up to motifs and shapes led by the dominant trends of the time. In this same period, some of José Ferreira Pinto Basto’s sons travelled to Sèvres, where they acquired a notable set of technical and aesthetic references. This set of influences gave rise to richer, more expressive and colourful decorations, where bouquets of flowers, garlands and floral entanglements were represented with a cheerful and soft colour palette. A work of detail and sensitivity executed by the Factory Hand Painting Workshop and created by Vista Alegre designers with strong inspiration in the brand’s origins. Made to Order.
