Bridal Registries: 2017 Edition
So, what’s new in the world of bridal registries? Well, apparently as much as the times have changed, many things have stayed the same.
Real Simple magazine’s do’s and don’ts of wedding registries advises that while
current trends of registering for hobby related gifts, like tents from REI, or honeymoon excursions, like massages and adventures, is perfectly acceptable, don’t eliminate all time-honored items from your registry entirely. Trust us, you will have guests who want to give you something that will last. Hey, they hope you have fun jet-skiing in the Bahamas, but they don’t want to pay for it. They want to present you with the perfect pitcher, candlesticks, crystal bowl, cheese board, wine goblets and think of you enjoying it throughout your wedded bliss. They’ll even invite themselves over and expect fresh squeezed lemonade to be served from that Simon Pearce Woodbury Pitcher
So don’t disappoint this bunch of invitees! We can help. Did you know that we’ve been in business for over 40 years now? And bridal registries have been a mainstay of our business since the beginning. We go out of our way to help our brides create a personalized registry experience that works for their wedding situation. Appreciate beautiful wrapping? We offer complementary gift wrap to anyone purchasing gifts from
us. Prefer to be a little more eco-conscious? Request no gift wrap. No problem. We’ve seen more and more brides decline wrap for all of their bridal shower gifts so they don’t need to spend the time unwrapping gifts at the party and can just mingle and enjoy the time with all their friends and family. Need to hold your gifts at our store because you’re moving? Ok, done. Oh, did you fall in love with a china pattern wandering through Bloomingdale’s one day, but you don’t see it on our website? No worries, we can add it. We regularly add new products based on customer requests / suggestions.
So, please come check us out for the first time or come see us again. We moved to a fabulous new location in the spring of 2016, so if you haven’t visited us in awhile, we would love to see you.
